This website has been created as part of my assessment task for early childhood education. The site is designed to look into different family and community scenarios that can impact young children in Australia. I am beginning to see that children’s development and learning are intimately tied to the experiences at home and in their communities. Educators are more empowered to respond to children so that they find ways to be caring, inclusive, respectful, and responsive when informed by these forces. Family income and cultural background, health and wellbeing, social connections, and even natural disasters shape children’s lives in a variety of ways. It can have a huge influence on how children think, feel, behave, learn, and interact with one another.
